Arland is a huge Goliath who currently resides south of Snaprock. He is often found meditating at an ancient altar to Beory. Despite his peaceful demeanor, he is known to track and wrestle dangerous creatures from around the region.
Arland recently met with a group of adventurers and expressed serious concern about the giants north of Snaprock. Their behavior is highly unusual and whatever they’re fleeing must be incredibly dangerous. He also expressed a broader concern about some looming threat that he has sensed, but is unable to articulate.
“Something distant is approaching. I’m not sure what it is, but it fills me with a sense of dread.”
This concern about a looming threat is similar to the warnings that Xeres has issued from Bar’den.
