Ogden Thresh is a human Awakened Psion from the merchant city of Veshek and professional psychotherapist. He was recruited, along with 5 others, by Master Braunwick Hadelphis to deliver a sensitive package to Sephilas Youlverg at his manor outside of Bar'den. When Ogden and his team discovered Youlverg's manor to be mysteriously empty, they proceeded to explore it and discovered an entrance to the Underdark.

His family are all farmers in a very difficult and remote part of the world. Their lives are hard, but they survive as long as everyone does their part. However, Ogden was born without a right hand and couldn’t contribute to life on the farm. Therefore, at the age of eight, he was sent to live with a distant relative, a university professor named Agnes Stillwater, who took him in to her small home on campus.
Growing up in an environment constantly filled with books on everything from ritual practices of cloud giants (BIG Magic, 6th Edition) to studies of Goblin cultural structures (It’s Not Stealing, It’s Borrowing: A Brief Treatise on Collective Ownership within Goblin Society), Ogden developed a natural curiosity about the world and its peoples.
As time went on, He became fascinated with the workings of the minds of sentient creatures and the differences in thought patterns across species. He holds a special fascination for “aberrant thought”, or the mental faculties of those entities who’s minds are all but incomprehensible to most, such as mind flayers, aboleths, and the great old one.
After leaving his foster home at the university, Ogden decided to continue his research into distinct patterns of thought by becoming a therapist, to both understand how others think, and (as someone who likes to help) make them feel understood.
